Phone Access

When you select Phone as a validation process, that means that your user must provide in the login form a Phone number, also they will receive an OTP through SMS or WhatsApp depending on which validating method you select.

How the Email Validation work?

We will use Verifik's login as an example, here you will have a better view on what to expect when you select this field.

After the user add their Phone number and select their verification method, immediately the UI change so the user can add the OTP that they receive.

Depending on the validation method used, you will receive 6 digits OTP, here you find an example for both SMS and WhatsApp.

When the user provides the correct OTP, they will be redirected to a specific URL that you provide in the project, in this case when you successfully validate your email you will be redirected to the Verifik’s Dashboard.

Here are a few things that you must know:

  • The user can request again the OTP every five minutes, also the OTP that were already generated expire in about 15 minutes.

  • Only phone’s that you previously provide in the project are valid, check the section Allow access to clients to have more information about how to manage the access.
